Ingersoll Rand OEM 32170797 Pilot Auxilary Valve for Constant Run Operation
The Ingersoll Rand 32170797 air compressor auxiliary valve is a dual control device. This allows the compressor to operate in either start/stop mode or load/unload mode. When operating in load/unload mode the compressor will run continuously when the top end pressure is built. A small amount of air is redirected to the heads which closes the valves and prevents the compressor from building air pressure. This prevents excessive starts and stops on the compressor motor.
This pilot valve is only used on Ingersoll Rand compressor models whose pumps were configured with head unloaders. Common pumps were the 7100, 15T and 2545.
