Ingersoll Rand 38471629 OEM Pressure Switch Conversion Kit for 7100E15-V Air Compressor

38471629 is a pressure switch conversion kit that replaces part number 56288764 if you are running the Ingersoll Rand 7100E15-V piston compressor. This kit includes a replacement pressure switch, copper unloader line, and pressure gauge.

IR changed pressure switch manufacturers in approximately 2009. The unloader valve are now on the opposite side of the older version switch. The old pressure switch part number was 56288764. This conversion kit provides all parts necessary to successfully convert your switch to the newer version. If instead you are running an Ingersoll Rand 7100E15-V reciprocating compressor manufactured after 2010, you are able to purchase the 23474570 switch separately.

Please note 38471520 will only work with the 7100E15-V compressor mounted on a 120 gallon horizontal receiver tank. If you have a 7100E15-VP compressor with an aftercooler mounted on the back of the beltguard, you would want to purchase kit # 38471637 instead.

The pressure switch turns the compressor on when it hits the lower pressure setpoint and turns the compressor off when the upper setpoint is reached. This is an OEM switch from Ingersoll Rand. Plenty of aftermarket switches are sold online, but many of them are not rated for the full load amp draw of the compressor and will cause pre-mature wear to the switch. The OEM switch from Ingersoll Rand is rated for a higher amp draw and is much heavier duty compared to others.
